The most recent programs include:

ICoNLingua for Ca’ Foscari
In collaboration with the Ca’ Foscari School for International Education

Type of course

This is an intensive program to learn Italian in a virtual classroom, intended for incoming students of the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. About 120 students, registered in level A1 and A2 virtual classrooms managed by mother-tongue ICoN teachers, specialized in the online teaching of Italian, participated in the program. The classes were held before the students arrived in Italy and the e-learning course of study was included in Ca’ Foscari’s flowchart of courses offered.

ICoNLingua for Idiomas sem Fronteiras - Italiano
In collaboration con the MEC – Brazilian Ministry of Education

Type of course

This is a language training program for university students who attend Italian courses at four Brazilian universities (Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, Universidade Federal de Viçosa, Universidade Federal do Pará). About 250 students, distributed in 14 level A1 and A2 virtual classes, participated in the program.

ICoNLingua – Ciência sem fronteiras
In collaboration with the Brazilian government

Type of course

Ciência sem fronteiras is a program promoted to foster the mobility of students of scientific subjects abroad. In the academic year 2013-2014, Italy welcomed about 1,400 students; ICoN supervised the linguistic training of 837 of these students prior to their arrival in Italy via online ICoNLingua courses. These students were divided into 47 classes (15-18 students per class), each led by a qualified teacher, trained specifically in techniques for teaching Italian remotely. The students’ training ended before they left for Italy, and received positive feedback from both the students and the clients.

ICoNLingua - UNED CUID
In collaboration with CUID (Centro Universitario de Idiomas Digital a Distancia) of UNED of Madrid

Type of course

Since 2015, ICoN has collaborated with the CUID of the UNED University of Madrid offering online Italian courses to enrolled students and outside students studying languages through UNED language courses. Since 2015 ICoN has issued about 636 annual licenses to UNED for online Italian course raging from level A1 to level C1. The courses are used both in self-learning mode and in partial face-to-face mode, with tutoring provided directly by UNED.

Italian in the virtual classroom for the natives of Trento in the world
In collaboration with the Autonomous Province of Trento

Type of course

The program, established in 2003, has so far involved about 800 students, living all over the world – especially in Europe and in America – who descend from inhabitants of Trento. Each year, the Autonomous Province of Trento offers at least 50 scholarships for a three-year program, at the end of which the students will have reached an intermediate-to-advanced competence.

ICoNLingua - Erasmus
In collaboration with 8 Italian universities

Type of course

This is a language training program for exchange students planning to come to Italy thanks to Erasmus grants; about 500 students, supervised by 47 qualified teachers, participated in the program.
